Education

Building bridges between academia and practice

I teach ethical thinking in the context of artificial intelligence and sustainability – grounded in academic research, shaped by practical experience, and driven by dialogue. Whether in the lecture hall or the boardroom, as part of a CAS program or an in-house training for an entire company: my teaching formats are dynamic, application-oriented, and designed to meet participants at eye level.

For a Swiss bank, I developed a company-wide training program on sustainability for over 800 employees – scalable, effective, and tailored to the real-world challenges of the financial industry.

For many years, I have been teaching at universities in Switzerland and abroad – with a focus on ethics, sustainability, and responsible technology use.

Thematic Focus Areas

Ethical practice in AI

How do algorithmic systems influence our decisions – in finance, healthcare, or education? I teach the fundamentals, sensitize participants to pitfalls, and highlight practical approaches to fairness, transparency, and accountability in the use of AI. My sessions are grounded in real-world case studies, interactive reflections, and critical engagement with the societal implications of algorithmic systems.

Ethical strategy for sustainability

What defines a credible and effective sustainability strategy? How can ethical principles be translated into corporate action? I help participants understand how companies can embed sustainability in a meaningful and authentic way – with a focus on corporate ethics, stakeholder dialogue, and a critical and nuanced approach to standards.

My seminars combine conceptual depth with strategic practice – whether it’s about measuring impact or navigating greenwashing risks in an increasingly politicized environment.

How I teach

Clear. Tailored to the target audience. With energy.

My teaching thrives on clarity, relevance, and energy. I convey the ethical dimensions of complex topics such as artificial intelligence and sustainability in a way that resonates with the target audience: in CAS programs, in-house training courses, or traditional lectures.

I am often deliberately booked for sessions after lunch or in the late afternoon – because my courses keep people awake, motivate them, and encourage them to think further.
