About me
Dr. Dorothea Baur
I am the founder and owner of Baur Consulting and an expert with many years of international and interdisciplinary experience in the field of responsibility, sustainability and ethics. In addition to my role as a consultant, I am an internationally sought-after speaker and lecturer.
I successfully advise companies, pension funds, foundations and NGOs on issues related to sustainable investments (ESG), artificial intelligence and ethics, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. I also regularly give presentations and lead workshops for various target groups on these topics.

Career
I studied Business Administration and International Relations in Zurich (CH), Leuven (BE) and St. Gallen (CH) and did my PhD on NGO-Business Partnerships at the Institute of Business Ethics at the University of St. Gallen. Afterwards, I researched and taught at leading European business schools (e.g. ESADE Barcelona, Nottingham University Business School).

ESG & Sustainable Investing and CSR & Sustainability:
Since August 2021, I have been Chair of the newly created Sustainability Council of Thurgauer Kantonalbank. Previously, I have been a member of the jury of the Ethics and Trust in Finance Prize and an Associate at the Institute for Social Banking, as well as the independent Ethics Officer of Alternative Bank Switzerland, an honorary board member of the Ethos Académie, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the BUCHI Foundation.
AI & Ethics:
Among other things, I am a Fellow of ForHumanity, an organization working on the development of an audit process for automated decision systems. From 2021 to 2022 I was the Ethics Lead at Women in AI Switzerland and a member of the Ethics Board of POSMO, a Swiss data cooperative with a mobility app. I am also a Founding Fellow of AI Talk Live, an international initiative to promote AI for the benefit of humanity.
I also teach at various universities and universities of applied sciences. Since January 2022 I have been publishing a column on Ellexx, an independent money-media-platform for women (in German).
